The pole underwater idea seems like it would be so fun, but so wrong.

I have this image in my mind of a large fish diving to the bottom and then rushing to the surface. We could call it 3D fishing.

To steal a line from Dorothy "Muskies, northerns and gars, oh my!" :o I'm thinking more in line of fishing for bluegills, perch and bass. I can't imagine trying to control some 15-40 lb. toothed monster underwater! I like the idea of a short pole and a short line. That makes good sense. But how do you get the fishie off the hook? ???
