Unbelievable spearfishing accident of Florida teen

I hate to admit it, i had nearly similar experience in my living room! we had a shaft that was slightly bent, i for reasons i dont know,tried to straighten the shaft, and then loaded the gun. while i was examining the gun it disscharged. 3ft+ gun went flying and knocked my kid(who is husky) off his feet,and onto the ground, the shaft went flying into my ceiling just missing my face! ..I will never load a shaft out of water again, and if they have any bend, i would toss the shafts. its too much power to mess with, and even so they are very dangerous. many different types of accidents occur with these hunting instruments. torn jaw bones, etc.
