It's not real clear as to why his friend took off but if it were me I would probably break my other hand on his face.

I didn't understand shooting the scooter and breaking the hand ??? Why not use the scooter to get to the boat. They have come up with some nice rescue kits, I might think about getting one. When you are spearing you can never tell where you are going to come up.
