How's the life insurance policy?  How much weight would you put on her belt? ;D

Re: Semi Local...Isle Royale
If you break down the cost of the trip into what you are getting, it's not out of line.  A 4 day charter to Isle Royale would cost $765/person.  Included is your accommodations, 3 meals/ day, diving (11 dives weather permitting) and transportation to and from the island.  Compare this to 4 nights in a motel- $80.00/night X 4 nights = $320.00.  Meals - breakfast $7.00, lunch $10.00, Supper $15.00 X 4 days = $128.00.  Diving - 2 tank sport dives $95.00 (Taken from Milwaukee's Nordic Divers 2008 price list) X 5 1/2 for 11 dives = $522.50.  Grand total is $970.50.  By comparison, Isle Royale is very competitively priced.

I've been to Isle Royale twice and both times on the Blackdog.  It is a very well run charter and well worth the money.  The Captain is very knowlegable of the wrecks and the area.  The dives are fantastic.  Isle Royale should be on everyones dive wish list.

We have just added for the 2008 season, a new generator, new compressor and a trimix stick that gives us the capability of nitrox and trimix blending.  Also Argon is available.

Re: Semi Local...Isle Royal
How does the trimix stick work? Can it make hypoxic mixes like 18/45?  That would be a great value and space saver on Isle Royal.  How many divers on your boat for recreational trips. What about technical trips? What's your earliest trip this summer?

Re: Semi Local...Isle Royal
It works much like a nitrox stick but will blend both O2 and helium and air at the same time.  As I understand, it should blend any mix that we want.  Also it will blend nitrox to 40%.  Recreational trips are for 6 divers and Technical trips are for 4 divers.  Our first trip this season is the July 4th weekend.  There are still available dates in July, August is full.
