St.Lucia: Requesting Info/Advice

Hi,

I'm thinking of suprising the Mrs. with a trip to St.Lucia. She is not a diver but will always snorkel whenever there's a nice/shallow reef nearby. Neither one of us are the type to just lay on the beach for an entire week so we're always looking for other interesting things to do while on vacation.

And I'm a scuba addict, will shoot u/w video any chance I get with a freepass to dive mornings while someone else sleeps in

So i'm curious if anyone out there has traveled to this location? If so, any advice on getting there (currently shows 2 airports), which side to stay on, which resorts to try (or avoid), quality of the diving, other activities available,  restaurants, expenses, etc.
