Three instructors are out on the boat, trying to impress the novices.

"Shoot, I've forgot the soda!" says the first instructor, "Everyone give
me $5 and I'll go back and get some."

They give her the money, then she climbs out of the boat and walks
across the water to the shore. Everyone is astonished.

Not to be outdone, the second instructor offers to go get some food to
go with the soda. He climbs onto the waves and walks to the shore. The
novices are seriously impressed now.

This leaves the third instructor on the boat, and he can see the other
two struggling in the distance trying to carry the refreshments. He
climbs onto the waves and he too walks over the sea to give them a hand
back to the boat. The novices are seriously in awe.

Later on, back at the dive store, the instructors are congratulating
themselves at their displays.

When they had returned, the instructors proudly turned to the students,
asking how they liked the show. Sure enough, the novices were seriously
in awe, except for one student. Being asked, why he didn't seem overly
impressed, but rather dismayed, the student responded: "I would have
thought that SCUBA instructors would know how to swim!"
