Good afternoon,
A psd is a person with very good water skills and is a team player. He Dives in kind of water anytime of the day or night.He is the one you want with you when things go to hell in a hand basket. The teams I work with will take you if you dive or not, they start with a 40 hr class room and confined water class. the next class is a dry suit class, the next class would be a full mask class. The ow class will start in about Jan. and progress through till may and open water check out. by this time even though you have not had check outs ,you will have had approxmately 35 hours of pool time. During the summer you will continue diving with team in training mode. As fall starts you may go in to Search and salvage, search and recovery and get ready for ice diving, during the winter months you will get haz mat training You must remeber that you will also be diving with the dive team. Henn. dive team had 1750hrs of training in 06. this did not enclude other things. grumpie |
