Bad Medicine dive report
Just got back today. Did two tanks on Bad medicine.
Vis. pretty good about 15ft on the first dive. Worse at depth (40) as my brother kicked up a hurricane of silt. Very cold. I am usually pretty tough, but my hands really froze. wasn't really impressed with the structure...maybe we were diving in a dumb spot, but it was pretty much 'moonscape'.... |

Re: Bad Medicine dive report
if you read the dnr info on bad medicine.. you'll see that some years back it had an explosive population increase of crayfish... hence, all the vegetation was eaten.. moonscape was left.. it even changed the fish structure of the lake. I would bet you saw plenty of crayfish.. Tri-State diving of D.L. does an annual crayfish dive there and has a big crayfish feed after.
Cold and dark down there huh?

Re: Bad Medicine dive report
no.. the DNR did not introduce the crayfish.. they did introduce trout to try and control the crayfish.. you can read more here:
