has anyone been in superior lately?

Just wondering if anyone has been in Lake Superior Lately, I havent been up there in about a month so im not sure if it is iced over or not.

Its currently iced in on the western tip.  For a while, ice was in up the north shore as you neared two harbors.  That has sinse pushed away and its clear up there as of a couple of days ago.  Jay lives up that way right on North Shore highway so he gets a daily view.

Not aware of anyone being in the water, but we have a group that most probably will here in a few days..most probably the Madiera

Not sure...ill see what i can figure out....
some of the group are heading to Georgia to get some CCR time in with Richie Kohler next week. So not sure who will make local dives..

A coupla guys went diving in Superior Saturday...they said it was 34 degrees, and a challenging entry, with the snow and about 15 feet of thin ice along the shore.

Where did they dive?

A group of our regulars dove the Madiera Saturday morning and found a very easy entry and exit no waves, 34 deg and 50+ft of viz.

They tell me you could easily see the wreck clearly from the surface and could see the waves on the surface while looking up from the wreck..

Ill let you know if they hit it again..I didnt get any warning this time
