Isle Royal 7-25/ 7-28
Had a good time diving besides getting hung up on "Ralph's Reef" :o we get stuck on our second to last day on her way to dive the Chisholm engine. The park rangers came out, tried towing us out, but it was dark. They didn't feel that my free diving along with my HID light was sufficient light for them to avoid the reef. We were going to spend the night on the boat, but the Coast Guard said we had to abandon the vessel. The next morning I went back with the crew and with the assistance of a bigger boat from the park rangers, got unstuck.
Here a couple of pics from the trip 8) |

Re: Isle Royal 7-25/ 7-28
I was on the tech trip after yours. I heard the reef was named "Thoren Reef", but I think that's only semantics I too had 4 great dives before the winds picked up. I'm working on the pictures, and should be able to post the better ones in a day or two. Here's a shot I got on the Kamloops of the Wheel & Binnacle. Jeff
