Presque Isle, MI
Location: Presque Isle, Michigan (Lake Huron)
Dates: June 8th - 11th, 2006 Operator: Shipwreck Adventures (based out of Wisconsin) Captain: Greg Such Boat: 'Little Alexandria' Wrecks: Windiate (sp?), Typo, Norman, and Florida Depth: Average 180 - 200 max. Divers: 3 Open Circuit Trimix / 3 CCR Trimix Seven dives 'schedule'; blown off two - so five dives total. Incredible visibility... no kidding, about 100ft - 130ft on bottom. Every wreck was wooden except the Norman. The wrecks are in excellent shape with only a light covering of zebra mussels. Since the wrecks are in the shipping lanes, many large freighters passed by... the loud thumping of their engines/props could be heard and often felt (although thankfully not seen!). Highly recommend both Lake Huron and Shipwreck Adventures.
