Las Vegas and Hoover Dam - scott - 08-06-2003

I'm also going to be in this area. Any recomandations? I've heard that there is an underwater city in Lake Mead, but haven't looked into it. Has anyone else heard about it? Thanks.

Scott

Drews Dam Divers thats the name of the dive shop. you dive 1 mile below the Hoover Dam. its a very fast and wild ride. look them up.

Scott,
Lake Mead is down over 50 ft (at least it was last year when I was there), and divers are having a blast because sites previously too deep are now accessible. A whole bunch of stuff was flooded when Hoover Dam was finished and the reservoir filled.
A place you can start is a full service shop: GR8 Div'n (there aren't many dive shops in Vegas - this one seems to be one of the better/more active ones).
Owned by Ron and Vicki Ruiz, at
Call them - they were very helpful to me when I was out there.
Have a great trip!
