Make sure you are using the correct website for info. There should be a link to the new owner/operator website within the FI website. Re: Looking for info on Fantasy Island..... - SCUBA Dog - 09-24-2009 I sent you a PM. I was there in March 2009. Re: Looking for info on Fantasy Island..... - aknelsonone - 10-01-2009 Ron, Thank you for the Info. We are with Sharon in contact We probably will stay there for Thanksgiving. We decided to move from Spring break to Thanksgiving. It just got ridicules how air lines and the resorts were charging for Spring break. andreas Re: Looking for info on Fantasy Island..... - SCUBA Dog - 10-02-2009 No problem. Hope you have a good trip. Re: Looking for info on Fantasy Island..... - aknelsonone - 12-17-2009 Tripreport We did the trip with the whole Family. The Resort is located right next to the Coco view Resort. The wreck in the shipping channel is shared between Coco view and Fantasy Island Resort. The main reason to choose Fantasy Island was the sandy beach. Sandy beaches are not common for Roatan. Fantasy Island has specials like the Airplane ride. There is also a shark dive availible. The Diving was good organized using standard protocol for boat diving in that area. As expected there was not much big stuff in the water. So we had to look for the small stuff. And we found some exiting creatures beside the common lobsters and crabs. Nitrox is an option the resort has a membran system to produce 32% and as usual they want some money for Nitrox. There is also a great place to go snorkling off of the Gazebo. The kids spotted a lot of exciting creatures such as a moray eel,and many lobsters!! The food was fine we could find the local as well as America's favorite (Burgers). There was even home made Gelato there! The accomondation was good too there is not much to say about it. It is advised for the winter season to get some "deep woods OFF" we had sand fleas despite the regular fogging. This applies to the winter season. Rain is common for November, December and January no wounder everything is lush green. Andreas |
