Shipwreck Moorings 101 - rcojr - 02-03-2010 Mooring a Shipwreck 101 This year for the first time, and by popular demand, the GLSPS will be offering a basic overview of what is involved in making a mooring to be placed on a shipwreck. The class will show you the different parts of a mooring from the anchor to the tag line. We will discuss how we arrived at the way we do our moorings and some of the other options. This will be a hands on workshop that will also teach you how to splice a line. Because it is hands on the class will be limited to 10 people so we can give you individual attention. If we have more than 10 we will simply add another class. The will meet in the classroom at 1:00 pm Cost of this exception class in only $10 Pre Registration is needed so we can plan on materials To register or for more information contact Bob Olson at bolson@glsps.org or call 651-303-4114 Re: Shipwreck Moorings 101 - doug67 - 02-04-2010 Why do you have to moore a shipwreck? Don't they just sit on the bottom going nowhere?(just kidding ;D) Re: Shipwreck Moorings 101 - ScubaAl - 02-04-2010 Glad to hear this is going to happen Bob, looking forward to it.
