Man, good thing there are NiMH batteries now. I can't imagine diving with a canister like in the link below. It's practically the size of a stage bottle LOL!!!!! :o

That's not even that long ago. When I took my cave class two years ago that was the canister size I was diving. One problem now with all the tiny canisters is that people have to start figuring out their weighting again, whereas before the 4# negative canister provided the ditchable weight in case of a major CF.

I used to have one that size also. The Dive Rite Classic canister. 50W halogen bulb, the canister needed to be that large to get decent burn time with a lead acid battery.
