I have only been there once and that was on LacOuderay. Spelling? We snowmobiled from there to the Chippewa Flowage, I would think that diving around one of those boat-up bars would be fun The Flowage is drained about 1/2 way every year about February. The Ice forms around the islands and rocks when the water leaves just the ice thickness. I dont think it is very deep though.

The flowage is too dark!  Hinton bay on big round is awesome.  Contact Al Winser form Winser diving in Hayward an he will point you in the right direction.

What about Shell Lake or Spooner? They are a bit south of Hayward but I've been curious if there is anything to either of these.  Maybe a question for WISCUBA... but if anyone here has experience with either of these lakes let us know!
