Bahamas Trip - LKunze - 07-27-2005

Jason and I had a great dive trip to the Bahamas last week.  We did the Blackbeard's cruise.  It was a lot of fun. We managed to get in 18 dives at several different dive sites.  It was my first saltwater dives so it was a cool experience.  Here are a few pics from the trip.

And how about a couple sharks too.

Very nice.  I am glad to hear that you liked it.  Any additional comments on Blackbeards would be helpful. I am booking a Bahamas trip today, but might want to try Blackbeards soon.

It's a nice trip.  The boat isn't real big, and there are a lot of divers on it but it never really felt overcrowded to me.  The crew was real good, the meals were good with a decent variety.  The cabins and heads are REAL small but at least they are air conditioned.  The dive sites and marine life were nice.  The amount of dives you get in for the price can't be beat for a liveaboard.  Blackbeards has been termed as a "camping at sea" trip and that's really what it is like.  You're saving money by not having the luxuries of some of the other liveaboards.  If you are on a budget, I'd recommend it.  If you have another $600 or so to spend then I'd look at something like the Shearwater or Nekton.

The sloop trips are great and the cost is great. I would recommend their boats in Nassau espicially the Cat Ppalu. Done it many times and like the idea of only 12 divers on. Am looking at a spring Cat trip if you are interested contact us
