Georgia/South Carolina Dives? - plmnwater - 01-18-2005 I'm going to be taking a vacation in late March through Georgia and South Carolina. Does anyone know any good dives in that area that would be within driving distance especially of the Blue Ridge Parkway? Thanks in advance! Re:Georgia/South Carolina Dives? - nomads - 01-18-2005 The Blue Ridge Parkway is in NC, not near the SC or GA coasts. Your best bet in the mountains is Lake Jocassee where GA, SC and NC meet. It will be cold as it is a very large deep lake. If you want to dive off the coast there is diving off of Myrtle Beach and Charleston, or you can dive in the Cooper River for fosiles. Try google.com, there is plenty of information on all of the above. Re:Georgia/South Carolina Dives? - plmnwater - 01-18-2005 Yup, you're right, we're going through NC as well. It's a trip that someone else is setting up, and I haven't done my research yet obviously! Re: Georgia/South Carolina Dives? - Shooter - 01-25-2005 There is a dive shop out of savanah that specializes in spearfishing but I'm sure they can hook you up.
