san diego diving - aristoff - 01-14-2005

Has anyone been to San Diego diving. ???

I was looking for information on dive shops and what would be the best place to dive around the San Diego area with limited time.

Thanks

Check out your best bet. There are mostly wrecks but there is also some nice kelp and canyon diving. Most of the Lois Ann trips are 2 dives one on a wreck usually the Yukon (Nice Wreck) and then a Kelp Dive.

Water is Not warm Temp will be around mid 50's Viz around 20+

I dove with the Lois Ann a few years ago and found them to be one of the best boats I have been out on. They have the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever had.

I am going to be out in San Diego this week and will take a couple of extra days while I am there. Since the Lois Ann doesn't do weekday runs I am going to go out on a 3 tanker with Dive Connections on Friday. Depending on how things go with sight seeing I may catch another boat on Saturday morning.

According to the sea temps in San Diego the water is presently in the 60s. Cold enough for me to take the heavy undies.
