Lake Wazee Fun Dive - Oct 16/17th - tcjtn0 - 10-12-2004
This post IS kind of connected with the SD&T post for the fun dive this weekend (16th and 17th) at Lake Wazee...
I will be at the campground on Saturday at 9:30 AM. And I know the weather is going to be a bit chilly (dang cold fronts...)
But at least the water will be warmer than the air...
I have to fly on Sunday Evening so my Sunday diving might be limited but...
I think it's time to get some wood together and have a fire Saturday night!!!
Come out and join me!!! I won't have paint-ball though. But maybe we can do a nite dive 8)
Come out for Satuday , Sunday -or- Both.

I'll be there Fri night, and hope to see you Sat...& if I don't freeze Fri night, I'll probably be there Sat night/Sunday as well.

Bad news all the local dive shops up there closed down for the year but good news I talk to Wazee Sports Center and they will be at Sherwood Forest from 4pm-6pm sat. the 16th they said $5 per tank cash only

Chilly day at Wazee Saturday but the water temp was 14 degrees warmer than the air temp!
We even had a couple rounds of flurries out there. :o I managed to get in three dives with Dan G and Jean and had a good time. Here's a shot of Dan on the second dive with the scooter.

Even though it even tried to snow , the water was warm!!!
(air temp was 43 water temp was 56 ...)
The diving was wonderful and the company was just awesome , as usual!!!
Thanks to DanG and Lonnie for 3 wonderful dives...Even the viz was nice along the wall !!!
And I know Garry and the gang had a wonderful time doing their deco dives!!!
Hey , I even hit 115 myself...!!! ;D

And congrats to Dan for making it down to the gazing ball for the first time. It sure was dark down there Saturday with the cloud cover. It was pretty much a night dive at that depth.

I didn't think the park allowed outside concessions within park boundaries. Did Wazee Sports Center sell air at Sherwood???

Yes we did have a good time...
Wazee Sports actually brought a cascade out on a trailer and I actually got a fill from them. They are a shop right now without a building. But they went out of their way to deliver air to us...(MY THANKS).
I would assume with the long relationship Keith has had with the park...!!!!

P.S. Yes Dan , congrats on getting down the ball...I hung over the edge of the ledge and it was very dark down there...I could not see lights until they actually hit about the 120 foot mark coming back up.

Yes, in case anyone was unaware of it Wazee Sports sold the building they were in. It's now exclusivley an ATV shop. From what we were told the plans for relocation of Wazee Sports are still up in the air.
