Munising, Michigan - Magelk - 07-06-2004

Ok here goes, I was certified almost 20 years ago, fell out of diving, dove some 10 years ago, fell out again, and now I'm back and I'm stayin here.
I just spent the weekend in Northern Michigan and made 2 dives with North Star Charters, Capt. Linda Laraway, out of Munising. Although I don't have much to compare it to, for me it was absolutely fantastic. (why only 2, my wife is just plain mean) Most of the sites are fairly shallow so if you're a rookie like me, this place will work for you. We dove the Steven M. Selvik, which was an intentional wreck, and it was a blast. Mostly intact and mostly upright. The second dive was the Manhatten which they blew apart in the early 1900's. After the orientation by Linda, you understood what you were looking at and it wasn't just a pile of junk.

Anyhow, just thought I'd share since I've hid in the shadows here for a while. And here's the link. And. i'm sure I've forgotten something so I'll update later.
