We Dove Phalen this morning.  We had about 7 feet of vis and temps between 39 and 42.  Nothing special-

Lake Superior ice is breaking up, and is now pushed in toward the harbor.  Brighton Beach was open, albeit mighty angry looking on Friday, with 6' swells breaking!

With the cold will we get to vote on an Ice In as well?

Word is we are getting snow.

Yeah, this weather sucks but the good news is that the temps should stay above freezing during the day anyway so not much ice is going to form.  I checked around a few local lakes over the weekend and they were still ice free.  I think we are in the clear now.  I plan on getting in the water this weekend...whichever day has better weather.

Anyone want to get in one last ice dive this weekend? ;D

It sound like the "DIVING @ CROSBY!!!" will be.

If my bald tires and van can get to the site with all the snow! I guess I would rather get into OW but I'll swim ice if that's were everyone is going.

Anyone going to Wazee?

Since the poll has slowed down I figured it safe to share the following Wink  I ran across these today while looking for area lake conditions.  They probably aren't new to everyone but I think they look pretty handy for checking out the ice-out status around the state:

As arcFlash likes to say,  "Bubble Bubble!"  ;D
