Ok, can someone tell me what a "squared away dive operator" is?

Re:DIR - LiftBag - DRE - 07-21-2004

Good question! Within DIR, we do consider the boat operator part of the "team" when conducting a dive. This means that we relay our diveplan to the captain before the dive, and that the captain knows waht's going on during the dive. Anything that deviates from the plan will automatically raise a red flag on the captain's part and he'll take the necessary steps to remediate the problem, whether that is a diveteam doing an ascent off the downline, retrieving the bounty when spearfishing, etc.
Just think of "team" within DIR as a series of concentric circles where the dive buddy is the one closest to the center and the diveboat operator being the next line of defense.

Hope this helps,
D
