Re: Diving Lake Calhoun Wed. 8-12-09 - Hydro - 08-12-2009 well kinda hard to not sweat wearing 200g polar fleece in (97 in the sun according to the computer) a lot of cute little critters there, but i think i prefer something tough enough to romp around with, ...a little trepidation to get the heart pumping. Re: Diving Lake Calhoun Wed. 8-12-09 - bluefins - 08-13-2009 Thanks Hydro! What you said about the work that went into simulating the moon in Calhoun by NASA is REALLY interesting...I did not know that! (and a HAND??? that's gross)Has this been done with any other lakes? In training and on my dive, (I believe) I have noticed that 1500 psi seems to be the standard, so I don't think having to deco will be an issue (at least not in the near future) Re: Diving Lake Calhoun Wed. 8-12-09 - bluefins - 08-13-2009 Seems like you guys had a good time diving Calhoun, and you weren't even afraid of the darkness at 45' (although I would have been :o...okay, I'll admit it. I'm a wimp ) I think I'll stick to daytime diving 8). Soooooo...what do you think had you guys sweating more....standing around in black 200g polar fleece with the temp in the 90's....or, the cute.....dog tricks.... > Re: Diving Lake Calhoun Wed. 8-12-09 - Diver_Dave - 08-13-2009 It was Calhoun that Doug K & I found a sealed bottle of beer (& possibly a human head) in a couple years back. I'd like to go again but I live way further South these days. Re: Diving Lake Calhoun Wed. 8-12-09 - scubafreek864 - 08-13-2009 Did you bring the head up for a closer look? |
