I initially mentioned that we are offering an Ice Diving class in January, and it seems that the majority of topics always tend to stray from the initial question.

My comment was merely that PADI requires all students that wish to enroll in the Ice Diving class must hold an Advanced Diver certification. No, you cannot do an Ice Diving and Advanced Open Water at the same time.

Hey Hydro, Sounds like you and me at Square lake on Sunday... High of 32 forcasted. I have some extra Henderson 7mm 5 finger gloves. I will bring and an extra dive light...(just in case). PM me if you are lacking anything and I might just have it.

Fishing was not good. there were 6 foot waves and we had 1/2 inch or better of ice on the boats. It took four 75# buckets of concrete to keep the sonar boat on location, we were 8 miles out in the middle of the lake.
