Re: Ontario shipwrecks in Lake Superior? - rcojr - 04-19-2008 Silver Islet There's technically a boat launch there, but if your boat is bigger than a canoe it's best to launch from Thunder Bay. No wrecks in this area but there is a submerged silver mine. I agree about the boat landing. There are not many people going to dive it, but the wreck of the Theano is not far from Silver Islet. It is in 320ft of water with the high point being 296ft.
