Re: Andy's dry suits - MNDiver - 07-28-2005

Regarding the second zipper instead of velcro, I guess I now have a reason to buy a new Andy's suit!  Nice option.

I have the Andy's gloves.  They are warm and I like them quite a bit.  I have tried three different types and they are my favorite.  I have the glove ring perminatley installed on my suit such that I can replace my wrist seals myself.  I keep a spare set of seals in my save-a-dive.

I have not used an attached neoprene hood, just an attached latex hood.  If I didn't frequently use a full face mask, I would cut it off.  It is nowhere as comfortable as a thick neoprene hood.  With a FFM the latex hood is dry and very warm.

I also like the basic Viking glove for the Viking suit but I don't have to pay to replaced the gloves when they rip. I seem to rip them digging for bottom junk too much.Â
